Elizabeth Goebel brings a thoughtful, energetic approach to interior design, combining creativity with a strong technical foundation and a genuine curiosity about the people and places that shape each project. Since joining SALT in 2026, she has brought experience across corporate, education, childcare, healthcare, wellness, government, and civic environments, with particular strengths in FF&E and creating spaces that are both functional and inviting.

She especially values working with Alaska’s diverse communities and draws inspiration from the people, stories, and strong sense of connection that make the state unique. Her approach is grounded in listening, collaboration, and creating environments that thoughtfully respond to the people who use them.

Originally from Williston, North Dakota, Lizzy earned her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design, magna cum laude, from the North Dakota State University. While in school, she was involved with Tau Sigma Delta, the North Dakota Interior Designers organization, and the IIDA Student Advisory Board, and was awarded the IFDA Educational Foundation Tricia LeVangie Green Sustainable Design Scholarship. Lizzy currently serves as Communications Director for the ASID Alaska Chapter.

Qualifications: NCIDQ, ASID Professional Member, LEED AP

Outside of the office, Lizzy fully embraces the Alaska adventure. A lifelong runner and hockey player, she has added wild ice skating, downhill and cross-country skiing, hiking, camping, trail running, biking, and kayaking to the mix. Some of her favorite weekends are the ones she and her boyfriend, Mathew spend loading up the car with camping gear, running shoes, bikes, and kayaks, heading south, and figuring out the rest along the way. When she slows down, you’ll find her collecting houseplants, taking film photos, painting, or spending time with friends and family.
